    Weird Shed

Hi everyone. I'm new (signed up about 30min ago) and I've been trying to find a thread that addresses this.

I have a BP who's around 3yrs old. She is due for her shed to start any day now but I've noticed something funny. It looks like each individual scale has shed, one at a time. When I first noticed it, I tried rubbing the spot off (it looked dirty) but a few pieces of dandruff-type skin fell off. She is acting completely normal, eating normal, drinking normally. Her skin doesn't seem dry, she's not wheezing, she's not lethargic, etc. I've never seen this before and I'm wondering what everyone else thinks of this.

Because she'd acting normal, I'm not worried; just curious. I would appreciate any help/opinions.

Sounds like the humidity in your enclosure is low to me....It is the only thing that I could see causing that.

I never thanked you and I feel like a tool for that. Sorry!!!

I did take your advice, so I've been misting the cage daily. She ended up shedding a week later and it was her BEST SHED to date! I am so proud of my baby!
