omg humidity just me or is it really hard?

ok so im super new to this site, and just as new to ball pythons. like i said in my intro i kept bearded dragons never had any issue with temps or humidity or anything. my problem now
i set up my BP tank on Monday it is a 55 gal talk screan lid got all the lamps and temps perfect and the humdity was right around 65% i believe that to be pretty good. so again the temps and humidity where going awesome from monday till saturday. we put our new BP in his beautifully set up tank thursday night and like i said everything was staying normal till saturday morning when i woke up and saw the humidity had drop to 0% what in the world am i doing wrong??? it has to be something for such a major drop so quickly. i haved been misting to atleast give him some and he moves through his water dish a few times a day. i have gotten bigger dishes i was told to even put a water dish on the hot side and on the cooler side did that nothing. right now i have the cool side covered but if that doesnt work im totally out of ideas.
Please Help im sure 0% humidity is dagerously low for poor "Aang"

A 55 gallon tank with a screen lid is about as wrong as possible with a BP. They like small tight secure enclosures and your screen is letting all the heat and humidity out. I full grown ball doesn't need a tank that large. Ball's also don't use lamps for heat. You should have a thermostat with an under tank heater. You should have a plastic tub or something small and secure that will hold constant heat and humidity. You should have enough heat to keep your humidity in the proper range without misting. That glass cage just won't hold your humidity properly. Do a search for tub on the site and you will find some great how-to's on how to build a proper enclosure for your snake. Everything from the tank to the lights sounds entirely wrong at this point. Ball pythons live in the ground and prefer a secure enclosure with belly heat.

U also might either check ur hygrometer or if u got a cheap one get a better one, not many places in the world have 0% humidity low yes but 0 is sahara desert dry lol

i did forget to mention his UTH and all that jazz and the lamp are more to keep with the daylight hours but i guess 55 gal is to big that could very well be the reason hmmmm i will deff. check out that section on tubs thank you tabbi

Okay, 55 gallon tanks are really hard to keep up, but you can do it. Our snake is in one for now with about 3-4 hides until we build a different enclosure.

Cover most of the top of the screen! Use wood, aluminum foil, something. Heat rises up, and screens let humidity escape. Try a different substrate that holds in humidity. Right now, all the water evaporating is exiting out the top of the tank. Block it from leaving.

That's weird that it suddenly changed. Are you sure the right part of the humidity checker is IN the tank?

55s can be done as stated above.
get eco-earth for bedding, and cover all of the screen top except for about 8 - 10 inches on the hot side so you can have your light there. also keeping a hot and cold water bowl will help a lot too
