making a rack i need ur opinion

so im making a rack for a ball python project i have in mind once i get some froggies sold. Anyways I drew the rack so it will hold babies, medium sized snakes, and adult snakes. I ordered a helix the other day, flex watt, and i still need to pick up wood. I havent seen racks where people do this yet though, as in holding all different sizes in the same rack. I've only seen adult racks, than people have their baby racks, than their mid sized snakes racks, all seperately... is there a reason for this or is it just because i'm going to custom build this? I'm just curious because maybe temps are different in diff sized snakes tubs (babies compared to adults), or other reasons? i'm just curious Thanks

I have seen many people make racks that hold different size tubs. As long as the heights of the tubs are the same you should be ok. I personally have two different size tubs in my rack and they all maintain proper temps. Just make sure that you keep an eye on the temps in all the tubs.

If the room is warm enough you can use back heat as an option, or like Dragonboy said just make sure they are the same height and you should be fine.

We made a ball rack this summer and its great. Its about four foot wide and holds lots of different size tubs. There are purple handled tubs at target and 3 different sizes are the exact same height. One is shoe box size kinda I have hatchlings to yearlings in them, then a sweater box size for bigger girls and full grown males and last are 61 quart for my huge 2000g + females. We ran belly heat 3in tape and the thermostate prob is on top shelve in a tub. (heat rises..) And my guys are living great.
    Loads of balls around here

We kind of do the same thing, except that we ran two rows of 3" tape in anticipation of all of the BPs upgrading to 32qt tubs eventually. Then we just moved the 15qt tubs forward or back on each row until each tub's temp was perfect and then marked the spot with masking tape. That won't be possible/necessary with the 32qts, but the temps fluctuate too much right now with all different size tubs in there.

my rack is 4ft wide - 6ft talk - 2ft deep. I have 3 racks on the bottom 2 with 40L then one with 28L. Followed by a work space/incubator spot then a top rack where I can stick 16L/6L. I went with 11' heat watt because after reading alot about the 3' and such I went with that and can just pull the other tubs forward. I also decided to run heat rope along the top of each shelf to maintain heat.
