    Special Needs....Improper Caging Results

A few days ago, my girlfriend brought this little guy home. I honestly was at a loss for words. They said they found him in their yard, which I totally believe because I have been to their house...and KNOW they do not have reptiles.

So this makes me think of who could of done this to him. This is not something that happened overnight. This is months and MONTHS of improper lighting, caging, and food.

His shell is grossly deformed and his beak barely resembles the Box Turtle he should have been.

TAKE HEED.....Get your Turtles and Torts out of aquariums....

Little dude is a trooper though. Has a HUGE personality, and really enjoys food.....just really small pieces of it. LOL

That really is bad. I can't imagine how someone could look at him every day or every week and not feel awful for what they are doing to him. Im glad that he's in the care of someone who can properly take care of him and im sure will spoil him. Haha.

Hopefully he will rebound quick with the correct care. Id certaintly take him in a heart beat. Goodluck!

    Thanks everyone.

He eats, drinks and poops, so all is well with him so far. He just needs much smaller food because of the deformed beak.
