Would the cheapest way to make one be a pinstripe and axanthic, then breed the pinstripe babies that are het back to the axanthic?

cheapest would be pin x 100% het axanthic. Will take LONGER but could still do it.
Either way food wise wont be cheap when growing out the babies to breeding size

This would be one way to start the project. You could also get a male Pin het Axanthic and a female het Axanthic. As soon as the female is mture, you will be going for Axanthic Pins!

Keep in mind a pin het axanthic is not cheap by any means.

Re: Axanthic Piinstripe
You should get an Axanthic female now and start growing her up...Then get a Pin Het Ax. male next year...They will be cheaper then.

Cheapest?
No.. to be the cheapest you'd start with a pinstripe and a het axanthic.
Quickest?
No.. to be the quickest, you'd want to have a good shot at producing one in your first generation of breeding
Best?
Quite possibly! I like your plan you've outlined here. You have a solid goal, and the entry cost isn't too high, and you won't be breeding for 4 generations before hitting it (hopefully).
I'd suggest starting with an axanthic female if possible, since a male pin het axanthic offspring (should you be lucky enough to hatch one) could feasibly breed the following season.

the cheapest is to do a breeding project with someone else. one of you get the axanthic one get a pin. the axanthic is best if female. breed, hope for a male pin het axanthic. raise it up a year and breed it back to mom.
