It's really hard to say as not all BPs will grow the same. You can have an 08 female under 1500 grams and then an 1800+ gram 09 female. It just depends on the snake. On average Females will be bigger than males. length wise females will top out somewhere between 4-4.5 feet (there are exceptions both larger and smaller) males around 3-3.5 feet (again there are exceptions). If you know for sure that you have a male than it sounds like he is about full grown length wise. Depending on what you feed him and how often, he may or may not add more weight. As long as you get your setup and husbandry right and get him on a proper feeding schedule, you'll have years to enjoy him.

My neighbor had a ball that was at least 12 years old and was not quite 1000grams. But then they never kept him properly warm or fed him consistantly at all. So your rescue could be several years old, or still very young. It's nearly impossible to tell!

Enjoy him and care for him properly now, and he'll be your great pet!
