TOO MUCH humidity

I recently have converted to tubs after having humidity problems with tanks. Now, I have WAY too much humidity and cant seem to lower it. With the lid on, its around 75 to 80! I've tried making holes in the lid over the water bowl with no luck. I'm thinking of just cutting a portion of the lid off and gluing some screen mesh on it. OR I can just buy more snakes and have a reason for a rack

Adding more holes usually works. You can also try a smaller water bowel. If your water bowel is over your heat then that will make your humidity higher also. How are you measuring your humidity levels? What is your set up like?

UTH with therm at 90. Ambient temp 74. Water bowl on cool side. I've got an acu rite with probe sensor/hygrometer combo set up on basking spot side. The water bowl is fairly large for the tub. I want to try to get a deli cup/pvc pipe set up asap.

I should mention the water bowl is from my tank and its one of those rock style bowls you find at pet shops.

Do you have any type of fan in the room? Turning on the ceiling fan in my room took me from 80's to 60's

Smaller water bowl and more holes in the tub.
Try the bowl first and then add holes till your humidity drops.
Paper towels or newspaper for substrate if your using aspen or cypress.
I would definitely not cut the lid...

My two easy fixes, add more holes, and get a smaller dish. I use the little ceramic souffle dishes for my youngins. Only the adults get the big bowels to help keep the humidity up in the big tubs. Also, if any sunlight hits your tubs that will make the humidity go crazy and raise the temps of course. It took me a bit to realize that even the indirect sunlight (bouncing off the neighbors garage and through my thin curtain) was enough to raise the humidity in the two tubs it hit. That made me crazy till I figured it out

As for the holes, you can always cover them up if the humidity ever drops too low. So don't worry about adding too many.
