    Ovulation or not?

Just wondering if others think this could be ovulation? This is the first year for bloods and I think I caught it in the photos, but it is difficult.

I highly doubt it was blockage as it was only noticeable for about 2 days then gone without any mess in the cage yet. Also we don't really feed her the size she needs. She gets jumbo rats every 7 to 10 days, but should really be on small rabbits.

I deal with Ball Pythons...if it were a ball I would say no, too high. OVs are usually in the lower 3rd of the animal.

Id keep an eye on her still

An ovulation looks like she swallowed a football

And FWIW, a medium rat every 2 weeks is plenty IMO, especially during breeding season

Save the larger more expensive meals for after they lay to help get the weight back on

    Hi,

    Just a maximum of once.

And, if they don't want to breed for any reason, none at all.

That female looks small since she is in a cb70 tub. I would think a jumbo rat would create a bulge like that in a snake that size.

That isn't a CB-70 tub. It is a Tub of an ARS-8514 Rack level. About 33" deep by 25.5" wide and 9" deep. We found we really like these for most bloods, but when you get the really big girls like our Brujah we step up to a 33.5" deep by 52" wide tub.
