    Common Snapping Turtle

My friend and I went on a bike ride to go to a herping spot that looked very promising for snakes. On our way there, I looked out into thise massive feild and saw this black moving thing. I new it was some type of turtle. I climbed over the fence to get a look at him. He was about to go towards this giant pond. I picked him up and let him go into the pond. There were lots of fish and vegatatio for him to eat. It also has a very muddy bottom, wichsnappers like. He was a beautiful turtle.
