    Pulling a fast one

Hera is a sneaky little thing! I know that BPs go into a pink phase when getting to ready to shed. Well she skipped hers! I picked her up this morning and her eyes were going into the blue phase! That sneaky little girl.... oh and she has displayed no more signs of RI so it might be possible that it was nothing. I'm still gonna take her to the vet though once I get the cash, I just had to replace the kitchen sink ><

if you dont handle them everyday you can miss it pretty easily. if ur holding her and shes not showing any signs of RI you can let her crawl around for about 10-15 minutes and let her get a lil excersise and then u can listen to her. sometimes if it is mild enough u wont even know until they start breathing a lil more or a bit harder.
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

I had her out for around half an hour maybe a little more and she was around my neck so that I would hear any noise she made. The only thing she did was huff at me once which she has done plenty of times, it just sounds like a great big sigh of boredom lol.

And I do handle her almost every day, I think she just sped through the pink phase so fast I never saw it.

The last time Gene shed, he was barely pink, and we didn't even see him go blue before he shed, and I handle him every day. I walked into my room one day and picked him up to see how pink he was or if he was blue yet, and he'd already shed! They are sneaky little creatures..

Haha i know exactly what your saying! You'll check up on em and they will still be in their shed, then about an hour later you come back to a freshly shed, hungry snake.

    Re: Pulling a fast one

i never saw the light pink belly when my girl first went into shed. my daughter was looking at her on the bed (i had her out cuz i was cleaning the cage a little) and said her eyes were blueish silver, that got my attention and i picked her up and looked and sure enough they were very blue/silver, then i looked at the skin and noticed it was very dull so i turned her over and her belly was dark pink. i was like "AHA no wonder you've been so cranky!"
and you guys are talking about handling every day and all that...doesnt that stress them out?
i only handle my girl for 15 minutes 2 x's per week and not during shed or the 3 days after a meal.
