I would stick to whole prey items. That way you should be providing all the needed nutrition. The fact you always get crap out of one end is no reason to put it in the other.
I have fed my BP's chicks in the past but always as one course of a rodent based diet and I'm not sure I want to feed too many chicks in the diet given the reports of what it does to the smell/ consistency of the poop.
I couldn't say what a diet of chicks would be like as a diet for a kingsnake though. Chicken pieces however are unlikely to be a good long term diet for anything.

yeahh i wouldnt feed them chicken i was just suprised that it was ok to feed chicken haha i fed it to my savanah monitor alot and he loved it POOP SMELLED AWFUL but he loved it
