    Flat rock Scorpion (dial up warning)

    I thought I'd kick this thread back of with my newest.




    I love the claws on these guys. And the sting is exceptionally mild as scorpions go. The LD rating is like 1500-2000, weaker than a bee sting.

    There's a top down view of the setup, I decided to spend the extra $$ and go for red sand.

    Yeah, they are not really big "stingers". They don't often sting either. However, a pinch from one of those claws would be nasty

    I think this one is premolt, they don't usually look so fat.

    Flat rock scorpions count as one of the species that can be handled, as long as you don't have an allergic reaction to the venom.

    Just be careful so you don't damage the scorpion, and with the flat rocks, beware of being pinched

    Btw the reason for all the slate is that it creates hiding spaces for the scorpion. They are adapted to live in those cracks and crevices.

    Mine is in premolt, they don't usually look that fat.
