You have to judge based on weight and/or girth, rather than length... how old is the snake? Usually baby snakes (up to around 3-4 months old) will eat hopper mice, and then you can move them up to adult mice. Definitely no more than ONE adult for a small snake, which yours obviously is - in fact, I'm guessing one hopper would be sufficient right now.

Re: i feed live mice
At this point, one mouse per week is probably plenty. Just because they WILL eat two doesn't mean they need to. If you overfeed, they can go off food for an indefinite period of time. Better to keep meals small and regular and have a snake eat consistently....just for your own peace of mind, if nothing else.
If you think about it...if your snake eats a mouse every week, that's 52 mice in a whole year...which is way more than a snake in the wild is likely to get....which means it's plenty. As they grow bigger, you can increase the amount of food accordingly...either moving up to small rats, or offering two-three mice.
