    I don't think so. Mine has never shut-off and I didn't see anything in my User's Manual about disabling it. You might try contacting Dion at Spyder Robotics. If anyone will know, he will...

    I read over the manual the other day (my third arrived and I checked to see if anything was different) it does not mention that as an option. I an sure a little bit of cardboard would cover it over. The green ones are not even close to as bright, if that helps.

    Thank you both...might just go with the green over the blue then...still have my snake in my room looking to get more but will still be in my room for a whyle hard to sleep...
