Here's a 40 Gallon Breeder I kept a Kingsnake in - same care as Corn:

And a 3 tier enclosure I made and sold several years ago:

    Oh, you asked about cost...

The 40 Gallon was $40 during Petco's bi annual $1 per gallon sale. Screen top was around $15, I think. Lamp from Home Depot around $8.

The enclosure I built cost me about $200 if I recall correctly, and a large part of that was the large Plexiglass sheets for the doors.

If you want a display tank/viv, here you go. I built this w/o heat for $100 (a few years ago, maybe more now, but still super affordable). Simple to build, only tools you need are a tape measure, and a drill, though additional tools can help but aren't necessary.

There's a guy on here who's a cabinet builder by trade, and starting up a cage business. The example that he showed pretty much blows every other DIY (and many commercial enclosures) on here out of the water in terms of aesthetics. I can't remember his name, though he's from Lousiana. I'll see if I can track down the thread, and post it later today.
