    The miracle of birth

I've been raising asf's for almost 2yrs now, and today I've had the opportunity to watch one of my females give birth. It is amazing to watch the other 2 females help in the whole birthing process.

Well I guess some would see it that way, especially seeing the other moms literally scooping up baby before it's completely out & going to work on the umbilicus & cleaning up the little fellas...it's soooooo cool to watch

African Soft Fur. Its a small rat native to Africa. They more resemble Mice but without the nasty smell.

I think birth is beautiful, even in ASf's.
Human birth just happens to be my favorite.
Someday I hope to be a midwife. I'm not grossed out by it at all. It's simply amazing.
