    Feeding/Tub Questions

I have a few quick questions I'm hoping someone can give me advice on.

    First:
Is there a way to help insulate a single tub, winter is coming and the temps in the tank are going to drop that, I wanna try to keep it as warm as I can for my little guy.

    Second:
Right now I feed him F/T hopper mice every 5-7 days, I want to switch to rat pups, how much bigger are the pups than the hoppers?

    Third:
Where do you guys purchase your rats/mice, online or at a pet store?

Thanks for all your help guys.

Just weighed the snake... He's probably abt 2 feet and weighs 117gs. He's not fat or skinny looking, just right. Maybe he can even eat something bigger now. Any idea how much I should be feeding him?

    Third:
Where do you guys purchase your rats/mice, online or at a pet store? I get mine live from a breeder but you can get F/T pretty cheap online in bulk.
Thanks for all your help guys.
Hope I helped a little and good luck

Right now Rat pups are too big for his weight. Wait till hes about 200-250g to offer rat pups.

Either offer sm adult mice or rat fuzzies.

You think so? I feed my 85ish gram snakes rat pups and they have no problem taking them down..

He will be fine on rat pups - But feed whatever you feel comfortable with feeding. Fuzzies will not be underfeeding him every 5 days.

Rat pups on average are 25-30grams a piece.

85g hatchling eating a meal that big is power feeding. Unless the pups you are getting are larger sized fuzzy rats.

Rat fuzzies are about 10-15 grams each the size of hopper mice.

Yeah some breeders immediately start off on rat pups, but that can be a lot to handle. I would stick with small adult mice and just grow with time. I get all my rodents from a breeder also, but frozen/thawed is ALWAYS a good and easy option.
