Newbie with a quick question ab heat :D

I read ab 22 pages worth of husbandry info before I posted this! I live in chicago on the bottomo story of a condo and it gets cold. I have the hot side and cooler side of tank perfect! But my ambient temp fluctuates quite a bit. So i got a stationary heater just for the room and i have it on 750 watts and medium on the knob, it seems to be keeping the room around the same temp and now the temp inside the tank is more consistent so thats good, but whats the danger if any of leaving this thing on 24/7 during the winter? thanks!!

I'm not sure about continual running. I use a space heater for my snake room, but I have it hooked to a Ranco thermostat which turns it on/off to maintain my ambient temp of around 80F...

Does your heater have some type of built in thermostat or regulator?

As was said, it depends on if your heater is regulated or not. If there is some way of regulating it, there shouldn't be a problem (you'll just have to check in on it every now and then to make sure) but if it's not regulated, I'd be a bit apprehensive about leaving it on continuously.

That should be the built-in thermostat knob...
