    New BP need help figuring out what kind

    Hey everyone im new to BP's i was hoping someone might be able to tell me what kind i have here it was given to me a couple of weeks ago with a cage and no info on the snake not sure if its a boy or a girl but i was told its a year and a half (hard to believe since its 4 feet long) im sure its prolly just a normal bp but i wanted to see what everyone else says. sorry for the photos it was a little camera shy lol first time i put it done anywhere cept for my lap since i got it oh and the first one is closer to its real color still trying to figure out better lighting for photos

    Very pretty normal that is pretty skinny for the length, looks underfed which is common for most owners who didn't research before the initial purchase. Could be a male since its so slender and the tail seems long, but you wont be able to tell until you get someone to pop it or probe(prefer to probe since it's an older snake) the snake.

    The care sheets on here are great sources of information, but remember key #1...Leave your Ball python alone for at least 7-10 days after you bring them home. Ball Pythons take longer to adjust than say a bird or hamster, so the longer you can let them hang out and familiarize them with their surroundings and the stress of the move.

    Cool little snake though, got any pictures of the cage setup??

    It's a good looking normal. Unfortunately the only way to know if a BP is a male or female is to have it popped or probed by someone who is experienced in that whichever particular method. There is no way to know the sex based on looking at it.

    Nice looking BP though, looks slightly skinny, once it's settled in you may want to feed it a little extra.

    ya they said they hadnt feed it for 3 weeks before i got it im gonna feed it this weekend and ill post up some pics of the set up tomorrow thanks for the info
