Snake has not eaten in 10 months!!

    I have a 6 y.o. Huge female! Last Halloween
I decided to breed her and paired her
With a mail off and on for 3 months (nov thru Jan)
Well it's now October, and she has not eaten
    Since last December!!

She is still as big (if not bigger) than she ever was.
I'm starting to wonder if there is
    Something weird going on??

Is anyone still waiting for eggs this late
In the season? Snake seems fine, and active around the cage.

Any ideas on what could be going on??

What have you tried feeding her? I have a big girl who went off feed for 9 months, and just started eating again in June... she refused live & frozen mice/rats, but eventually went for a frozen ASF. As long as your girl's not losing major weight, and still seems normally active, I guess she's just not hungry yet.

Not sure about the chance of holding eggs that long, but I imagine you'd know if she was gravid by now. Did you notice an ovulation? My girl who fasted was also paired over the winter & spring, but never did lay eggs - so she probably reabsorbed the follicles, which might also be the case with your snake.

I had two that went off feed and lasted 11 months, barely lost any weight and now they are eating with gusto

Re: Snake has not eaten in 10 months!!

    Losing weight???
If anything she is larger than she was last year!!

Sometime she actively searches her cage (kinda like before egg laying) but..... No eggs??

When I feel her body, I really don't feel any
Lumps (not sure if your supposed to?)

I'll try pairing her up again this weekend
And see if she has any interest?
