Anyone know a bp breeder in New England?

Here is the deal. As I have mentioned before The BP I have now is actually one of my friends and he fell upon hard times and i agreed to look after her until he got back on his feet and then I would give her back. Well I talked to him today and he told me that he has found a place to move into and will probably take Scarlett back within the next few months after he moves in and gets settled. Good for him but that leave me snakeless. I'm kinda bummed I wont have her anymore. So the hunt begins. I am perfectly fine with a normal. I would love to get an Axanthic but I have no clue what they go for. I rarely see anyone talk about them. Anyway. If anyone can let me know a good spot to find a new BP in my area that would be great. I don't really want to go the Petco/ Petsmart route and someone in or close to CT would be nice.

You can get a BEAUTIFUL captive bred and born normal from any of the better known breeders. They usually have a surplus of normals and will ship you a healthy, feeding baby !!

Even with shipping, you will be much cheaper then Petco and Petsmart.

I wouldn't get one from a Petstore, the ones I see there, are pitiful. I feel sorry for them, but getting those may very well set you up for heartbreak, stress (feeding issues) and also Vet Bills (parasites, etc etc)

Going into fall, the temps for shipping should be good, as well !

Shipping makes me nervous too, but in my opinion, you have a FAR greater chance to end up with a healthy beautiful snake if you have one shipped from a reputable breeder, then getting one locally from a "perhaps" dubious background.

NERD is in New England and is one of the best known breeders! Pastels are not much more than a normal and are alot nicer!

Agreed. Haven't bought a snake off of him but have chatted and seems like a good guy. Probably will get one off him at some point. Plus he's a small breeder so he knows his snakes well and it'll be a more personal experience buying one from him versus NERD (not trying to put NERD down, just making a point). Not sure if he has anything available now though, send him a PM.

*Also, if you PM me, I also now a great guy here in NH that does shipping as well who've I've done loads of business with. Small breeder, reptile store owner, tons of experience. If your interested I could give you more details and get you in contact with him. Right now he has hatching Lessers, Normals and Yellowbellys. The normals come from the same clutch as the yb's and are very very good looking normals.

I went to the Reptile Expo in White Plains, NY. I bought a baby corn from Brian, of BHB Reptiles. Had her since April and she is healthy, eating well and super calm and laid back.
