Are blue ghosts and green ghosts the same morph?

    Hi,

I'm just about at the giving up stage in my search for blue ghosts over this side of the pond. :headslam:

But I wondered if they are compatible with green ghosts or even if they are the same morph?

If I bred a green ghost to a blue ghost would I get double hets or visual ghosts?

I love the colour of the blue ghosts and had a whole project I wanted to base around them but there just don't seem to be any over here and it doesn't make sense to pay the import costs for only one animal.

I just want a ghost line that will exaggerate the blues/ greys in a combo - take a look in John Berry's new book at the chocolate ghost or on Greg Graziani's sit at his blue ghosts to see the colouration I am talking about.

    Gawwww- jus.

I read on this forum a while back that they were different morphs, but I have no sources or names to back anything up, just rumors

    Ive heard both....
only way to figure it out is to A) look at the genetic structure or B) breed them together. lol

one is obviously way more scientific than the other...

    and they are compatible...

so the second one is kind of a fail... lol

I voted "no," but that was really more of an educated guess. With the emphasis on guess rather than educated.

I've heard that all ghosts make ghosts..(orange, green, butterscotch, blue...)
    But I could be wrong....

There are definitely a lot of incompatible Hypo lines...I purchased a pair of WC Hypos in 02 that turned out not to be compatible with established lines.

Good thing I bred a compatible Hypo to the female WC Hypo and not a Co-Dom to make het Hypos!!!
