So I finally got myself a BP. Or two...

So someone over at CornSnakes.com posted an ad for some snakes, and I noticed the 1.1 BPs listed. $50 + shipping for two ADULTS? No way I could resist. I got them (and a luecistic texas rat ) yesterday and they're settling well.
Both are proven breeders and '06es. Normals, but.. that's what started the whole thing, eh? xD

    Male:

    Female:

Bit unrelated, but this is the tex rat.

Ah, so those are the BPs you were talking about... they look great, nice and plump! The rat is super cool, too - crazy eyes, huh? I think you'll really enjoy having BPs, once you get used to their picky eating (compared to corns). I love 'em.

Daemon (the rat) DOES have some big bug eyes, but he's so goofy looking. I'm glad I got him too.

BPs are pretty enjoyable so far. Female's a little head-shy, but not too badly. Male refuses to sit still for me, though. xD
The guy I got them from has never had them refuse food except for the female when she was gravid. I'm hopeful they'll eat for me.

I'm not 100% sure I know what this 'blushing' on the female is, though.

Blushing is a light coloration along the spine, usually in-between what you corn folks might call their "saddles." Here's a photo of my pastel, where you can clearly see the blushing on his back:

Sorry, that sounded bad... LOL. I'm a "corn folk" myself (got 8 of 'em), and that's what we call the spinal markings!
