Does anyone else's beardie do this?

And by "this" I mean hang from a branch to eat their food?

Also, ignore the poo, this was in the morning before I cleaned out her tank. Just thought it was too funny not to just take a picture of before she stopped.

That is hilarious!! Such a cute picture.

Some are pretty pickey about their cage...maybe that was it. I know Bob will go poo and jump away from it....then freak out and stare at me until I clean it...lol. By the way....what is in that bowl....not sure if it is just my computer but I swear it looks like rocks...lol

That sounds too funny!!! Hahaha....pretty sure they're crickets in the bowl though...

Never seen anything like that before, but we feed live crickets, and they don't like to stay in a food bowl for very long. Def. CUTE pic though!!!

Lol she does this all the time even if I've just cleaned the tank. If she's up on her deck when I put food in she'll shimmy down the little branch and hang off and eat.

They're freeze-dried crickets. For some odd reason, Isis doesn't like to chase live crickets. If one runs in front of her she'll grab it, but she'll only eat like 6-7 live crickets then leave the rest. If we feed her freeze-dried [or just general dead ones i suppose] she'll eat 15-20 in one sitting. We had a problem with her not growing because she wasn't eating enough crickets and getting enough protein, until we tried the freeze-dried ones. Since we started giving her freeze-dried crickets about a month and a half ish ago she's grown 8 inches and is now about where she should be for size.

Re: Does anyone else's beardie do this?

Some like hides, some don't. Mine definitely doesn't. Mine loves to be up on branches. You can feed beardies f/t or p/k pinky mice, but only has a rare treat and only to full grown beardies from what I've heard. They just eat crickets, phoenix worms, and the like. Though meal worms aren't good for beardies because of their hard shell. Here's a good food chart if you get a beardie.
