On the spider ball python's special traits.

Hey guys! What's up?

So, anyways, I got a spider ball python a few months and I'm really just fascinated about how this morph is truly unique.

Ok, so i know that "spider" is just another morph of a ball python. However, it seems to prove itself much more different than the rest.

According to NERD,
a) A spider ball python is a more aggressive feeder ( And, I have yet to read a post saying that their spider is off-feed) ( Mine eats like a pig too)
b) He says on the site that Spider ball pythons have a more "outgoing" personality ( Whatever that means)

Anyways, What's your opinion? Is it true? More importantly, Why does this particular morph carry these special traits? Are there other morphs that exhibit the same?

I know my mojaves have really good personalities, and albinos can be a PITA as far as feeding goes. Ive heard pieds are iffy on breeding, taking an extra year to get going compared to other snakes. As far as food, my spider's a good eater. Shes not outgoing though, shes very reclusive I think.

I'm not sure if you can say it is much more different than the rest.

a.) yes, my spider is also a great feeder. But I heard that pinstripes are the same.
b.) not sure what that means because my spider does not have an outgoing personality or anywhere close to it.

Some morphs have wobbles, some morphs have kinks, some morphs produce offspring that makes you scratch your head (a white snake from yellow bellies... why is that?) every morph is unique in my opinion.

My male spider is a picky eater...but very outgoing...
my female spider is great eater but a bit shy...

My spiders are very funny. I have only noticed a wobble out of them one time. Since then they haven't made any noticeable wobbles. I have heard it comes and goes at will and think it's just a added extra to the the breed. As far as outgoing, They haven't tried to get out yet so I would say mine are pretty easy going. Now my Pastel Male is very outgoing.....

I will have to respectfully disagree with NERD. Our spider went off feed and just got back on a couple months ago, she went through a 4 month fast. and she is got to be one of the most shy ball pythons we have.

I have a spider that's still a baby. She is a shy feeder, but otherwise seems normal. She doesn't head wobble, but she can't hit the mouse she's striking at to save her life. Its bad. All snakes miss on occasion, but it takes this snake lots of tries, even when the mouse is just inches from it's head.

As a trend, though, I've found spiders to be good eaters, yes.

I had one spider that was a difficult starter, but once she got going, she was just like the rest...gobbled food left and right.
My male spider goes off feed during the breeding season, like most of my males, but outside of that, he eats like a hog.
I have not yet had a spider that was finicky or skipped meals for no reason.
I've seen this once in a while in nearly every other morph I've bred, but not spiders.

I'm absolutely sure there are exceptions, but I'm not convinced that they really aren't just exceptions to a general rule.
