    Re: Mice eating eachother..!

They do that if there are too many of the same sex in the same cage, also they will canibalise if one is sick.

Yeah I think one or both were sick, as they were the only two mice in a 10 gallon.

I gave one of my friends 2 mice and one of them ate the other. I told her to give them some protein from time to time, but she never listened.

lol They'd get left overs from roasts, etc, pieces of hot dog and chicken a couple times a week...so I don't think it was a dietary issue.

I found one of the escapees!!! Man mice are hard to catch in a cluttered garage! And this thing is mean too! It's like being out of a cage for a couple weeks sent him back into the wild!!

    Re: Mice eating eachother..!

i just had one being chewed on last night. only 5 mice in 10 gallon checked everything and the water bottle was plugged i hit the Lil ball 6 or 7 times no water came out so i took it out gave it a good squeeze and finally water squirted out. so since it took having to squeeze it to get water out cleaned it out with boiling water and a Lil bleach and it's worked fine since

mouse didn't look that bad at first looked like a cut kind off but took him out and checked he has a section of fur bout 1/2"x1' they chewed on fur was still connected but could literally flip it over so had to smack him in back of the head and kill him didn't want to take a chance of him getting some kind of disease

might want to check the water bottle cause once i put mine back in after cleaning mine went nuts to point they were fighting for who was going to drink first
i just like to argue and get you riled up dont take it to mean i dont like you or what I'm agueing about. I'm doing it for the joy of argueing dont anybody like good old fashion debates

I find that they start to go feral after 2-3 days even in the house.
After 5-6 days they are pretty much wild.

Yeah I usually give them attention when I have them so they stay nice...this one went rabid haha!

I did check the water bottle, it worked just fine, it was brand new so that makes sense, I check all my animals water bottles when i go to refill them, I have 4 pet rats.
