    Getting Started - Any Books?

So I have a male pastel, and in a few months I'm going to get a female spider. I'm thinking about getting into breeding down the road. Are there any good books out there, besides Kevin McCurley's (already have) that explains the process, goes over different morphs, genetics, etc? Just need some guidance. Like I said, I'm interested in getting into it down the road, I'm not expecting a book to give me "directions" on how to breed my snake, just something that might help me start off. Thanks!

VPI's book on Ball Pythons is the largest book on ball pythons out there. I have looked over it but I dont have it. I do intend to have it though.

As far as a How-To Breed or How-To Become A Breeder type book or manual, I am unaware of anything. There are a few general books, but nothing for breeding Ball Pythons.

    Good Luck!

Some of the best knowledge gained in this hobby is the one you write for yourself because thats what tells you what works for you, theres plenty of information on this site to get you going in the right direction aswell as other websites just keep doing your research.

He is a good outline on the breeding procedure: http://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html

I would just google ball python breeding and read several sites out there! I bought "Ball Python Breeding With Colette and Dan Sutherland" by Dr. Mark Seward. It was videos and books but it is the same info online! It is very good though!

As luck would have it, I was cruising on Fauna and found this ad.

Don't know anything about the book, but the title looks promising for people just getting into Ball Pythons.
