Sometimes a snake just needs to be spooned... who says they are not socialable creatures?

Re: Dude... this egg is already taken (pushy BP shell squatters
Btw, how often do you check on them during the pipping/emerging stage? My eggs are in a solid mini-fridge incubator, and I'm afraid I won't notice something like a tangled umbilical cord... since at this stage (day 40) I'm only checking on them once daily.

Re: Dude... this egg is already taken (pushy BP shell squatters
lol nice bruce. I like my coke machine so I can check the eggs with out opening the tub as often. I remove the ones that crawl out and give them a rinse and place in a small tub back in the incubator until they are all out ( I gonig to keep clutches together when I breed.) this way I won't be sending a person as 66% possible het to a person that got a normal and the same wit hthe normal to the person getting the het.

That's funny. We have a shed box we put them in as they come out so the entire clutch is together until they all shed. Then they go to their own boxes sexed and ready for their first meal. Helps us not mixed the clutches. I have never had one try to get into anothers shell. But I'm glad you were able to catch the enchi getting tangled. We lost a bee this year due a situation like that.

Re: Dude... this egg is already taken (pushy BP shell squatters
Once they emerge I check at least twice a day. In the morning and in the evening.
I keep a shed tupperware in the incubator, as they come out they all go into one container. But this little guy had *just* left his egg, so I took it out and when I turned back to grab him he was already in the other snake's egg.
He was seriously not happy about losing his shell!
I had to look twice to actually see what was happening, if you look at the markings on his body, he was 1/4-1/3 into the egg already.
