They will most likely regurgitate the rodent.

    ( Throw it back up)

And the only lame question is the one not asked

    Re: What happens?

sometimes. Especially if they are young. The problem is, it becomes a race between the rat rotting and the bp digesting. My spider baby had a little too big of a meal last time, and she pooped a lot of hair. Which means she didn't get it quite all digested.

Others won't even try to eat it.

I cant find any hoppers around my area. I have had this snake for 3 weeks and he has not eaten since i have had him. But i did find a small adult mouse do you think he can eat it he is about 15 inches long not sure what he weighs.

I am by no means an expert, but what I have been told is that the width of the prey item should be about equal to the width of the snake at the widest part.

They will most likely sit on it and not eat the following week.
Snakes RARELY regurge, and if they eat large and are left alone to digest, then they are 99% of the time fine and won't regurge.

*I guess it also matters how big when you say too big *

No, this is not an ovulation and no I don't normally STUFF my snakes.
