    Are these rats too large?




    This ball python has been on rats for a year. However, these are larger than the ones she usually gets. She is a great feeder and is fed once or twice per month. She is not a breeder. I think she could handle these, but I thought I'd get some other opinions.

    If this were your snake, would you give her the pictured rats?

    If she has no problem taking them down they look fine to me.
    I do prefer to feed smaller prey every week versus larger less often, but as long as she eats a couple of those a month then I don't see why not.

    No those look perfect. If she is re gurging, then you might want to buy smaller. But I dont think there should be any problem with her taking them bad boys down. =D

    They're a bit on the large side, but she should be able to get them down. I would extend her feeding schedule by a few days, give her a bit longer to digest them.
