Is it possible to grow at a very rapid pace?

My other baby girl just shed for me for the first time a week ago, and like my other girl, I noticed she grew about 2 inches sense. I don't know how fast the growth rate is, but after a shed do they grow a lot in a little amount of time?

Sense I got my fist snake a month and some ago, she has gotten twice the sized that she was. I'm amazed. And now my other one I got no more than a month ago is growing huge as well.
I love love love learning about herps, and I've just started researching recently, so talk to me.

You really need to measure the snake's growth in weight, not length. Snakes can relax and stretch, or contract and seem shorter. If your snake is eating well, they can seem to grow very quickly.

I agree, length is far too difficult to measure accurately.

Either way, growth can vary drastically between even two clutchmates. There is also a rare subdivision of ball pythons that you could call "gaint" that is as large as you could possibly imagine ball pythons being, and they grow at a rate to match it, too. Do a search, both here and on google, for "giant ball pythons". The results are really cool. I saw one at a local show, and I got in touch with the guy. If it breeds, I hope to pick up one of the offspring. It would be so cool! I mean, this thing was five or six inches in diameter.

The first few months, the growth rate is astonishing if you feed them up well.

A guy i work with had a BP, he never weighed it but it got to be 5 to 5.5 ft and was over 4" in diameter. He was feeding it a large rat every 2-4 weeks. It was a petco snake to boot. lol. Was definitly massive looking.
