Re-freezing thawed out rodents?
Hi,
My ball python, Ozzy, sometimes eats all of mice, and sometimes eats a few, but now all of them. I was wondering how safe it is to re-freeze a large mouse that has been thawed out?
I don't mean to start any potential arguments or anything,

You can.
Should you... is a different matter.
I wouldn't, personally. Once thawed, like meat, it shouldn't be refrozen then thawed again, and then eaten. If I wouldn't do it for my own food, I wouldn't do it with my animals.
However, I know some people do without ill effect. I say if you're going to, then make sure it's soon after a refusal (10-30min after fully thawed).

Re: Re-freezing thawed out rodents?
I wouldnt do it. Because i mean i pay like $0.22 per mouse. So is it really worth it to take a chance? I guess if u pay a lot more then its up to u. I dont see me risking that chance over 22 cents

Large mice are $2.00 up here in Middletown, Ohio.
Oh, well, I won't risk it. I think two dollars is different from a n expensive veterinary bill.

Yeah, I'm going again July 24th.
I'll pick up a large pack of mice from there.
How much for 50 large frozen mice?

Depends how you buy
If you go there and buy its $25 for 50 large adults.
You get in touch with them and order online u can pick up at the show for $22.50
Or you wait till they have a sale. And buy online for the sale price and pick up at the show, when i paid for my bag it was $11 or something cuz they were on sale for $0.22 or something.
Also a tip. Get there early. 9am or so. Cuz once their out their out. You can buy and maybe have them hold on to them for you until the show is over or until u leave. But they normally sell pretty quickly.
