HSUS donations solicited through misleading ads

Sacramento-The Human Society of the United States(HSUS) is playing misleading ads on major televisions in California, soliciting donations.
Wayne Pacelle, President of HSUS, is is on screen asking for donations so they can "continue to help animals" throughout the United States, and touting the fact that they are the "largest animal-rights group in the United States."
Along with the appeal are shown photos of abused dogs and cats, giving the impression that they are providing on-the-ground help for domestic animals. The truth is, they spend far more money on lawsuits impacting legal and lawful hunting activities than on actually caring for animls.
HSUS is almost 100-percent politically involved in legislation involving farming, ranches, egg production, meat production and hunting activities.
Hunting is well-managed in every state in the union through sound science by biologists trained in wildlife management, and the work of HSUS diverts millions of dollars every year from sound wildlife management programs in fighting thier anti-hunting lawsuits.
Donations to HSUS are, in fact, a detriment to wildlife and to humans in general, costing us millions in increased prices for food products and in expanding wildlife management programs.
