    "Black Velvet" - Dinker Project

Just thought I'd give an update on my Dinker female Velvet. She just shed yesterday and looks amazing. I swear though, taking pictures of this animal is harder than squeezing liquid gold from a rock! These are just tub shots but I think you get the idea. She's my favorite and I have high hopes for her whenever she is ready to breed. What do you guys think?

    a couple weeks ago...

    yesterday, low flash...

    yesterday

belly shot - love this belly!

Not sure what I will call this morph if she proves out, but Black Velvet always comes to mind. She is SO black, but has red undertones (blushing) that makes her look so velvetty. What should I pair her with? I am probably going with a Mojave, but since it'll be a while before she is ready I may have a couple males to choose from by then I wish you guys could see her in person... Everytime I open her tub she blows me away

She is really nice. I think maybe pair her with a genetic black back and see what you get. Or maybe a spider. A spider with an all black back would be amazing. But congrats on the smokin dinker.

Thank you I'm pretty positive she will prove to be co-dominant. I wish I had an average normal her size to take a comparison shot with. I do have a male 100% het SK Axanthic about her size but he's going into shed, and he's super orange anyways

Dear Abbers McAbberstien...I would breed her to a nice pastel male. This will give you a nice starting point for your project. Not altering the pattern. Just enhancing the coloration.
