    Re: Cleaning

I don't really know. I use a bleach spray and let it dry til it doesn't smell before putting things back in. I keep hearing about this chlorhexadine or something, though. I've also heard that any "green" cleaning/disinfecting product is good.

Edit: Oh, yeah, I use hand soap for the water bowls.

    Re: Cleaning

For my enclosures I use bleach and let it dry, as for the water bowls, I just use dish soap and water.

    Re: Cleaning

Dish soap, bleach mix, it's all good. For weekly light cleanings, I use a reptile specific disinfectant spray called "Healthy Habitat", but I would by no means substitute this for deep cleaning with something stronger. With bleach though, be sure to rinse thoroughly and air dry to be sure ALL fumes are gone.

    Re: Cleaning

I use a steamer and vinegar for the enclosure and dish soap for water dishes. Furniture I soak everything in a iodine soap solution (V18 vanodine) and rinse well.

    Re: Cleaning

Do you just use bleach or do you mix it with water? If it's mixed with water what is the ratio of bleach to water?

What I do is a half bleach half water mixture. I then use a sponge and scrub them clean, rinse well, and dry them with a microfiber towel (I think microfiber absorbs better).
