    Spider stress

So I recently got a new rack system for the snakes, and I've been letting them settle in for the past week. My spider isn't settling, though. His wobble, which while mild was rather noticeable, has gotten pretty bad. A friend of mine asked me if he had IBD because he's doubled over that much. I know that it's not, but now my friend's got me paranoid. I know it's because of the stress of the switch, but it's really starting to worry me.

Should I move him back? I want to if it will help him, but I don't want to if it will just cause him more stress because he's being moved again. Will he eventually settle down? Should I do something to help or should I just leave him alone?

I don't know if moving him back will help. I just moved my girl up to a 28 qt tub and she went from mild head bobbing when cruising the tub to full on corkscrewing/ spinning etc. It freaked me out a little >_<

I found that putting crumpled newspaper helps a lot. I would just try to make him feel secure- give him a hide if you typically don't give hides, crumple news paper, etc. He may or may not go back to how he used to be.

It can take more then a week to settle in to a new environment. The wobble is probably just more pronounced because the snake is looking more intently for a way out.

Don't feel bad. I have a normal that out corkscrews yours just from me taking her hide off her to handle her. I have her a few months now and it has not gotten any better. I know it is upsetting watching them corkscrew. I feel like I have a retarded snake but we love her and as long as she eats poops & sheds all will be fine. If your spider does it more now than before I would think she just is still getting used her new home. Give her some more time.
