Re: Need more Dragon people! "Pics"!

Thanks BD! I was thinking the same about him too. I know all about empty cage syndrome.. I get it alot too. Purchasing this guy was a week moment.. he was so beautiful in the ad I found him in, I just had to have him. And his original pic in the ad was not that great either, but when I got him, opened up his shipping container, and he came flying out...I was pleasantly surprised at how bright he actually was compared to the pic.

I can get you the name of the breeder and an email,...altho, I did just post info on another thread regarding genetics and where he came from. If you need more info, let me know. I would be happy to help you.

Re: Need more Dragon people! "Pics"!

A few months ago, I did a "rescue" of sorts. A friend of my boyfriend's suddenly decided he no longer wanted his 5 year old male beardie anymore after getting a new dog. He'd had the little since he was a wee one.

These pictures were taken virtually the same day we brought him home.

His substrate was dirty sand, which bleached out his natural colors, so I ditched that nasty stuff as soon as I could.

You can see how pale he is here. Not to mention lethargic. I was under the impression that beardies were all lazy. After getting him onto a proper diet regimen, man, was I wrong!

Now here he is: introducing the new and improved, Spike!

Can anyone tell me what the white spot is under his chin? It's been there ever since I peeled off some old stuck shed...

    Ohmnomnom!

    Thanks for looking!

Re: Need more Dragon people! "Pics"!

Well, the Beardie Bug has bit me hard apparently. I was scowering Craigslist the other day and stumbled upon baby beardies for sale, called the guy and he gave me a good price so I now have two 0_o Haha.

The new baby is in the front, he's about 6 weeks old and 7 grams, Jacks in the background at approx 2 1/2 months old and 14 grams (yeah, he doubled his weight in a month 0_o piggy piggy)

The new baby has fantastic coloring, really sandy brown with orange/red striping on his head and cheeks.

Jack's spikes are really starting to grow, he's losing his "baby face" and starting to take on the look of an adult dragon already.

    Want Want Want!

I've been wanting a dragon for about 3 years now. As soon as we move into our own place and I have space for a dragon, I'm going to get one! All these pictures are so beautiful. I love bearded dragons! I miss having them.
    Under Construction.....
