    New girls

I purchased 12 normal female un-started hatchlings about two weeks ago. All have taken their first meal for me (most 2 or 3 meals). Today I was cleaning and doing a wellness check. I took some pic’s without the flash (sorry for the quality) because some of them are jumpy. I don’t want to flood the post with bad pic’s, so look in my gallery if you would like to see them all.

I feel like I need to add a disclaimer here: I do not recommend the purchase of un-started hatchlings to anyone. Please do not try this at home.

Sweet! I'm glad they all ate for you! I like the disclaimer! Unstarted babies shipped (?) would be a headache I would love to avoid any day.

Congrats and good luck with them!

Cute pics, the 1st pic kinda looks like my little guy, I got a reduced pattern black back...from ghana.

Who did you go through to get them?..I was thinking about getting 10-25 babys shipped, but need someone good and reasonably priced.

Good luck with them, I love it when they are this small.

You are better off finding them local. The extra shipping will bring the price up and you may run into some problems. I was able to hand pick the ones I wanted.

Nice, getting to pick em...Yeah, the guy I got mine from goes down to Miami and buys bulk, from what I remember. I was thinking about doing that...But was just seeing if it's worth it buying a lot of them and having them shipped. I found one site that had them for like $8.50 (or $212 w/o shipping cost) when buying I believe 11-25 and like $8 for 25-35 or something, (good profit)...I figured it was a good deal....oh well, I'll stay local..LOL....

    Thanks.

Some of these girls are going into shed in these pic’s as some of them are little eating machines (seems they are always lurking about looking for hoppers).

I do hope that some of them lighten and some stay dark. They all have some really interesting stuff going on with back and belly patterns. Almost all of them seem to have a granite type speckling in the alien heads.

I think with 12 of them I will have enough variation in color and pattern to do some really nice selective breeding. We will see in the next couple of years as I am in no hurry.
