Value! I suppose my big 2008 pied female and my 2007 hypothetical het lav girl are the most valuable, since all my hopes for actually breeding next year depend on them.

But deep down, my grumpy, anorexic, almost-worthless het pied boy is still my favorite, because he was first. And my slightly-retarded, super-sweet black pastel male after that, because he's just plain lovable.

The only one I have, even though he is currently having a FecalFest in his tub, that I just cleaned yesterday. Gotta love it...

Two that are tied in value.
A normal female, my first gal. And her Bumblebee daughter, who was my favorite the second she popped out of the egg.

Money is never a matter when it comes to which I favor/value most.

That's a question that gets tuffer as you start producing your own stuff. I have 22 balls at the moment, my first norm female is at the top of the list after her I'd have to say my ivory cause of his story.
    Absolutely obsessed with ball pythons!

I agree with this completely. If for some reason I had to cut my collection down I would probably still have at least 25 ball pythons. Mona Lisa (normal) is my first and she has my heart, but Bertha(normal) is the biggest ball I have personally seen and she has such a laid back personality, Lucky is the first ball that laid eggs for us so she has sentimental value of more than the average breeder normal. Then theirs Jacki our pastel axanthic we produced in 2008, and the pied pair we just got....the list goes on and on and I think that makes it hard for me. We have been breeding balls for about 4 years now and alot of our animals we personally produced or we worked our tails off to be able to purchase. I think I get more attatched also because they are not numbers to me(even though I would like to one day make a profit at breeding them ). Everyone gets a name and most of the animals I can look at them and tell you their names.

So to get back to the origonal question I really think that at least 1/2 of my breeders would end up as keepers.
