Today I gave the girl her first rat. She striked with moments of it being in there... so I assume she was hungry. She has it about half way down now.
The rat was about the size of the widest part of her body, if not a tad bit bigger. But it didn't seem to big to me. If it did seem bigger then it was, I wouldn't of offered it to her.
So I'm just wondering though, when I fed her mice, she took them down rather quickly. And when I say quick, it was down right after she stricken it and constricted it(which I now assume where to small for her). It's taking her a longer time then it did the mice. Is it okay that she's taking longer to take it down then the mice?
I'm sure if it was to big for her she would of backed out of trying to eat it by now.
