Re: Flexwatt
Make sure that all your connections are good. Flexwatt will heat up VERY fast and it will get very hot. I'm not sure how hot it gets, but I know it says 120 degrees on the insert. Take your herpstat off and plug the flexwatt into the wall. It should get really hot within seconds. That will tell you if your flexwatt connections are bad, or if your herpstat is bad. I wouldn't be surprized with either.

Yea as she said. If you connections are not good it wont fully give power to the flexwatt. Try w/o the tstat to for sure see what 1 it is for sure

Re: Flexwatt
But the heat tape is at 93 it's just the tubs that aren't warming up.

Then you will have to set ur tstat higher to make ur flexwatt hotter to get the 92* range in the tub.
Iv read on here some people have their flexwatt at over 100* due to the fact that there is heat loss between the flexwatt and the bottom of the tub

I'm in the same boat. I have to keep my helix on 98 to keep my hot side at 92.

yea u have to keep in mind that there is heat loss between the tub and flexwatt it depends on how thick ur tub is. The thicker the tub the more heat that is going to be lost during heat transfer

Re: Flexwatt
yeah... it doesn't really cause any problems. Only thing I have to worry about is adding a different rack type to the same helix.

Yea if u are using one to heat move then one rack its a good idea they both use same flexwatt and same tub thickness
