Make sure that all your connections are good. Flexwatt will heat up VERY fast and it will get very hot. I'm not sure how hot it gets, but I know it says 120 degrees on the insert. Take your herpstat off and plug the flexwatt into the wall. It should get really hot within seconds. That will tell you if your flexwatt connections are bad, or if your herpstat is bad. I wouldn't be surprized with either.

Yea as she said. If you connections are not good it wont fully give power to the flexwatt. Try w/o the tstat to for sure see what 1 it is for sure
I'm in the same boat. I have to keep my helix on 98 to keep my hot side at 92.
yea u have to keep in mind that there is heat loss between the tub and flexwatt it depends on how thick ur tub is. The thicker the tub the more heat that is going to be lost during heat transfer
