    First feeding.

So I just fed the girl.
    And it was a success!
I'm so happy! It was her first feeding. And I got to even see her strike it.
Which scared the hell out of me because I wasn't expecting it. XD
At first I honestly thought she wasn't going to attempt to get it, seeing how she shied away. But after about 5 or so minutes (and me checking every once in a while because of the sounds) I saw her strike it. =]
    I'm so proud of her!
Thats all. Sorry. ^^ I'm just so freaking happy!

I've spent thousands on my fish hobby alone its a little scary thinking about how much I'll be spending now that I'm getting into the world of herps.

It's a really cool feeling when your snake eats for the first time. Good for you both!

    Thank everyone!
I was worried about her a bit, because it looked like she lost a bit of weight (not to much though), so I was so freaking excited, and she ate outside of her enclosure to boot! Which made it even better for me. Thanks again everyone!

    Re: First feeding.

So I got the little one checked out by the vet today, and he was very pleased with her! He said she has a good bill of health, and would like to do a fecal sample, which I want done also just to know that she's 100% healthy. But everything looks good for her!
I also redid her enclosure today. I got her a MUCH better, and tighter hide, along with a branch, and some decorative leaves. And I switched out the newspaper, to astro turf. Which my vet recommended.
But the vet was very happy she ate tuesday for me, she's also 100% mite free now. And she weighs 82 grams. Which I guess is good. The vet didn't seem concerned by her weight or anything. Okay, sorry. ^^ I just wanted to post that she's nice and healthy.
Oh, the vet also said she should be shedding VERY soon, because her nose is loosened up. But I'm just glad everything going well for her, and that I don't need to be worried every second about her. =]

Next time hold the mouse by the tail and offer it That will make you jump the first couple times!

Glad she's healthy and eating After losing a snake that was a bad eater, I love hearing about good feeding responses.

    Re: First feeding.

Aww. Sorry to hear about you snake. That stinks. I would be devastated if my girl was a bad eater, and passed on (I dont mean to sound like you weren't upset). But thank you. I just want her to shed already so I can play with her! When I held her at the vet, some of the loose pieces of shed came off right in my hand. So I look forward to her shedding. =]
