    Talking The mouse is gone!

I couldn't see it in the cage when I went down to check temps before bed. I ended up not checking temps because she was out and about and I didn't want to upset her or make her regurgitate.

I did shoot a little 2 minute video though and when she headed back in her hide I turned off the light.

The weird thing is I didn't see a bulge in her. Still I think she ate it. I desperately wanna go in and check temps and search for the mouse but I more want her to feel comfortable and not tense.

Pleeeeease keep it down if you ate it babe! Fingers Crossed for luck!

just wait until tomorrow morning and quickly check to make sure she ate it. Rotting mouse corpse smells pretty awful so if it is still in there, you don't want to leave it in there for long.

    Re: The mouse is gone!

Will do, I was scared to open the cage and freak her out. turning the light on for three minutes was probably already stupid of me.

Hopefully she'll be fine without me checking temps...It looks gone to me though so that makes me happy.

Totally dorky impromptu video I show go!

    Re: The mouse is gone!

Well I couldn't find it this morning. Lucked under the 2 hides I didn't see her in and under the water bowl. Couldn't see the mouse either. I think she ate it!

More good news I think my rheostat will be an okay fix until I can get my new thermostat It was giving me 89-93 this morning

I didn't see a buldge on her though when she came out last night. Since I think she did eat it. Does that mean I need the next size up in mouse? Or are these good for awhile.

    Re: The mouse is gone!

You fed her a hopper, right? She could probably do fine on an adult mouse that weights about 15 grams.

    congrats on her eating

    Re: The mouse is gone!

Thanks! Man seeing that mouse gone let me go to bed happy.

Yes I still have about 4 more hoppers in the freezer along with pinkies for the colubrid I have coming.

I should really weigh her in a week or two to give a better idea of her size, video isn't always best for that.

I'll probably get a few frozen adults and see if she is into them in a week or two
