    3k gram pastel???

Well i just got my 3k gram pastel female in from Camlon Reptiles. Not sure if she really weighs the 3k but i do know she barely fit in the bucket for the scale and it would not stay still long enough to get a good reading but it read between 2400-2600 grams. After shes been here for her QT she will be bred late season if she will take to my 600 gram pastel male. Both have great colors. Ill get some better pictures to show her size after shes been here for a week or two. Want her to settle in with out being bothered.

btw the box she came in was 6. sumthing lbs. so shes prob around the 2600-2700 gram area if not more. Im truely happy with this purchase and cant wait to see what she will produce in the future. She is deff a large rat eater without a doubt her thickness is almost as thick as the boa i rescued so you know shes big.

Thank you. I was so worried about what she would actually look like when she arrived that when i took her out of the bag i almost fell over. My young male has beautiful colors as well so im pretty excited to get them together late season and see if i can produce some real nice pastels and super pastels. I wish i had a scale with a bucket that could fit her in it. I really would love to know what she weighs. They said 3k gram but u never know. She is the biggest female in the collection. Most are around the 1200-1500 gram range. So to see this monster it got me excited for my other girls being that big one day

Tip for weighing big ball pythons:

Get a large collander or bowl, the bigger the better. As long as it can balance on the scale and your scale is happy with the weight, you should be good.

i found a bowl finally that will work with the scale so in about a week ill weigh her in and see what she really weighs. But i was told by the breeders that she was 3k grams and she deff feels it. I will be breeding her later in the season if she will take to my pastel who has some amazing color as well. I deff want to see what kind of supers shell produce. Good thing i got a few bags of large rats in the freezer hahah
