    All of these comments have helped very much but I ended up taking the mouse back to petco and the girl that was at the register said that this had been happening alot lately. She said that she had gotten a mouse the day before and when she put it in the cage it hopped ontop of her snakes head and starred at it in the eyes for like 10 seconds and then the snake wouldnt go anywhere near it.
