Woa... She was serious.
http://www.ball-pythons.net/gallery/...10feb20491.jpg
I was sent this image when I inquired about purchasing a female normal ball python for a very nice price. I was disturbed by the sight of 2 boas and a ball living in one aquarium. To make things even worse, none of the snakes have hides.
Premises:
Dangerous animals shall be banned.
Ball Pythons are not dangerous.
Conclusion:
Therefore, Ball Pythons shall not be banned.

Seriously!? Common sense is really lacking nowadays.... Even if you don't know that much about snakes I would hope you would be smart enough to keep different types of snakes in DIFFERENT enclosures!!!! Faith in human race......slowly.....fading.....

Well, at least they appear in decent health?
I can't believe she'd keep them all in the same tank like that. Maybe it's just for the photo????

Re: Woa... She was serious.
Actually,
The snake doesn't look unhealthy - it is in shed though.
I'm pretty certain the wooden thing to the right of the BP is, in fact, a home made wooden hide - you can see the size of it in the indentations in the substrate.
If you assume the tank is 12" wide it is a good sized BP - whether it is female of course you should check before taking it.
If she has had it any length of time in with the boas you can also be certain it ( or the boas ) doesn't have IBD as it would be dead living that closely with infected boas I think. If she has only had it in there for 4-6 weeks however I would probably pass.
Either way strong quarantine would be essential simply because of the cage sharing.
Looking at the enclosure it seems quite well maintained considering the amount of animals in it - there's a little bit of shed on the glass but no visible faeces or anything.
It's not the way I would have kept them but, if she gave the right answers to the questions I had, I don't think it would stop me buying the animal and being fairly happy about it.

Re: Woa... She was serious.
I'm so disappointed in that person.
Obviously they didn't do their research.
Things like this get me steamed up, I think this makes me more mad than when someone isn't caring for their snake or reptile properly (incorrect husbandry).

Re: Woa... She was serious.
Well, they would might if they were being starved, but they actually look decently healthy for the conditions they're in. Not the best situation by far, and I would be careful about what was said above about the IBD, but aside from that they look decently healthy. I'd watch out for mites though, that boa was soaking.
In all honesty, it is a little unfair to just assume and get angry. If she knew better and did it anyways, that's a horse of one color. If she didn't know, that's a whole different horse. And those animals don't look in horrible condition. Could be a good buy.
