interesting mine has not been used for more than a year and already the humidy broken the temp is fine, I was just using it as a meter for the room it has never been in with my animals.
then it was the worst purchase i everrrrr made when it came to housing my BP. i switched to the acurite model below. and couldn't have been happier and not to mention it was only $12 at my local walmart.
the temps were in-accurate i put an acurite model inside a test tank along with the zilla model and i couldnt even get a humidity reading on the zilla model and not to mention with the acurite model i can cover two areas of temperature monitoring and humidity all at once. such as using the probe for measuring the basking area, the unit itself can measure humidity and ambient temps.
i just put the acurite on the cool side to get a read out of that areas temp and just feed the probe to the warm side to get a readout from there.
dont get me wrong i still use it though but only with my albino corn because they dont need much of a gauge on their humidity levels such as a BP's i believe normal household humidity which ranges from 30% to 45% is enough for a corn so i just measure the temps in the corn snakes enclosure.
