    Apartment Spraying for Bugs

My apartment is being sprayed for bugs in a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure what to do with my snakes. Would it be safe just making sure they don't spray in the same room as them, or would it be better to get them out of the house for a couple of days?

The only people I can think of that would be willing to watch them would be my parents, and they live over an hour away. If moving them is my best option, what is the best way to transport them?

All the snakes are housed in a reptile basics rack.

If they are doing a maintenence spray, your reptiles will be more than fine. If they are fumigating on the other hand they will ask you to remove all pets.

Good to hear. I'm almost positive it's just a routine maintenance spray, but I'll call the office tomorrow to double check.

    Thanks for the info.

My bug company comes every other month and I just don't let him spray in the rooms that my animals are in.

    Re: Apartment Spraying for Bugs

No problem, I have been doing pest control for 9 years now and there is very little left on the market that will effect reptiles of any kind, and none of them are used for a maintenence type treatment. Fish however are a totally different story lol. You have a right to ask what the chemical is they will be using. If you are interested shoot me a message and I can let you know if it will be an issue, but i highly doubt it will.

my apartment has a company come through once a month and do a little spraying to keep bugs out. i asked them before spraying and they said its not a problem. my rats like to eat dead bugs so i try to find them before they do cuz i dont want them to get sick. dont worry about it
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.
