    ball python not feeding

    Hi,

I have 6 ball pythons which never seem to miss a feed, but 1 of them is CB07 & in 3 years he has always been a fussy eater only ever struck & constricted rats/mice only a handful of times. If he decides not to stike & constrict the prey I leave it in the viv over night & usually I have to pick it up next morning & throw it away, If he does eat the rat/mouse its very rarely

I'm gettin worried now because I brought a CB08 last week & his girth is massive compaired to my CB07.

I've took the snake to vets & they cant find anything wrong with him all the vets say is ball pythons are fussy eaters & thats it he will eat when he is ready.

Does anyone have any good ideas or techniques that I could try to get my ball python to eat on a more regular basis.

    Thank you

You could try moving him to a smaller tub, crumpling up a bunch of newspaper and throwing it in the tub with him, raise or lower temps by a few degrees, give him a hide if he doesn't have one or two hides if he only has one.
